YMCA Ladies under 16 team travel to Manchester this Saturday to represent Northern Ireland in the UK Finals of the Tesco Cup.
YMCA achieved this honour after beating Linfield Ladies in the NI Tesco Cup Final last April.

YM fly to Manchester on Saturday before travelling to Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium on Sunday where they play Scottish champions Hibernian Ladies (who defeated Celtic Ladies on route to their title) in the UK Semi-Final. (KO 11.30am).

If YM are successful in the semi-final they will go on to play the winners of the other semi-final between Welsh champions Llandnudno and the English champions who will be either Activate Ladies, West Ham Ladies, West Brom Ladies or Manchester Utd Ladies.

It has been a phenomenal effort by everyone involved with the club to get to this standard of competition especially when one considers the resources both financial and operational that all the other clubs have compared to the shoestring budget that the YMCA Club operate on.

The Hibs game will be a tough one because they beat Northern Ireland U-17s 2-1 a fortnight ago in Scotland but YM players Chloe Archibald, Lauren Wade and Kendra McMullan played in that game for NI and know what to expect.

YM certainly feel that they will go there with a real chance of lifting the title.

YM have NI U-15 goalkeeper Alice Harkness between the sticks with fellow NI U-15 player Laura Nicholas as full-back.

NI U-17 internationals Chloe Archibald (sweeper), midfielders Sara Bergin and Kendra McMullan, while strikers Lauren Wade and Lauren McLaughlin are also part of the squad and they will be ably assisted by Katie Holly, Aiveen Laverty, Claragh Connor, Hanna Kilgore, Nicole McLaughlin and Caoimhe Barr.

Squad: Alice Harkness, Katie Holly, Laura Nicholas, Aiveen Laverty, Chloe Archibald, Amy Lee McIvor, Sara Bergin, Nicole McLaughlin, Kendra McMullan, Lauren Wade, Lauren McLaughlin, Hanna Kilgore, Claragh Connor and Caoimhe Barr.
