VIBRANT garage rock n roll outfit 'The Pigeon Detectives' rocked the Nerve Centre in Londonderry on Sunday night.
The band formed in Leeds, England in 2002 and have been succinctly described by the NME as 'indie-pop perfection'.
The band began to gather press attention during 2004 for their energetic live shows, and made their recording
debut in 2006 with the
single "I'm not sorry" - which was released as a limited edition 7" vinyl.
Since then the band have gone from strength to strength and can count among their legions of fans The Kaiser Chiefs' Nick Baines, who invited the band on tour with the Kaiser Chiefs during 2006.
The Pigeon Detectives are currently touring their new album 'Emergency' which is the follow up to 2007's debut 'Wait for me'. Emergency was produced by Stephen Street, who's worked with Brit Pop legends such as The Smiths and Blur. If you missed the Pigeon Detectives this time around - don't despair, you can catch them again as they're booked
to co-headline the 'Rock The Hall' concert with Supergrass at Belfast City Hall on New Year's eve. Londonderry's very own Fighting With Wire are also on the bill.
