YOUNG people from five Youth Councils across Londonderry, Limavady, Strabane, Omagh and Fermanagh recently got together to discuss their current school experience and their vision for the future.

The Western Education and Library Board (WELB) hosted a consultation workshop with the WELB Youth Council on the draft WELB Strategic Area Plan for Post Primary Schools recently.

The Youth Council members participated in both a quiz and workshop sessions. The information provided by the Youth Council members will be taken forward in the consultation analysis on the Strategic Area Plan for Post Primary Schools.

The Strategic Area Plan is available on the WELB website – www.welbni.org

The consultation will close today, Friday, October 26 2012. Following the close of the consultation period, responses will be considered and final strategic area plans will be submitted to the Minister by the end of December 2012.
