AVIATION historian Jonny McNee, from Claudy, will give a talk at Waterside Library on Wednesday, September 19 at 7.30pm.

His talk will focus on the discovery and excavation of the Spitfire which took off from Eglinton airfield only to crash at Carrowtrasna in Donegal, burying itself in the bogland.

He will have pieces of Spitfire P8074 on display and copies of the second edition of his book ‘The Donegal Spitfire’ available for purchase.

Admission is free.
