HURT (Have Your Tomorrows) operate a ‘Re-Engage with Age’ project to support older people over the age of 60 who are experiencing difficulties with the use of alcohol, over the counter or prescription medication.

As part of this Big Lottery funded initiative, HURT launched an outreach clinic at Claudy Health Centre on Tuesday last, February 12. Listening support, counselling and complimentary therapies will be offered to people experiencing difficulties and their carers.

Rachel McGrory, HURT project worker, said: “Older people and their carer’s can benefit from our confidential services during a time which can often be difficult and unpredictable. We encourage anyone who would like further information or make an appointment to contact the team on 028 on 7136 9696.”
