DERRY City's talisman Paddy McCourt has finally got his dream move to Premiership side West Brom Albion, subject to him passing a medical.
The much sought after winger has agreed a three year deal with the Midlands club, with City believed to be getting in the region of £150,000, plus a friendly against the Albion.
For the Northern Ireland international, who will link-up with fellow
Ulster man Chris Brunt, travels to the Hawthorns for a medical next week, is relishing pitting his wits against the likes of Wayne Rooney, Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Cesc Fabregas.
"I'm looking forward to it as every player wants to test themselves at the highest level," said McCourt.
"I can't wait for pre-season training to start and I'm confident I can make an impression in the Premiership.
"Many wouldn't argue that the Premier League is the best in the world. And I'm looking forward to it very much. But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a bit daunting."
The talented winger who is a massive Liverpool supporter, has already admitted that whenever Monday's Premiership fixtures are announced, that game at Anfield, will be special for the 24-year-old.
"I'm a Liverpool fan, as is my whole family so obviously I'll be looking to see when we are playing at Anfield. I always dreamed of running out at the Kop for Liverpool, but I suppose I have got the next best thing."
Tony Mowbray's side, who clinched the Championship last month, had two bids turned down by the Brandywell men, however club chairman Pat McDaid admitted he couldn't really stand in McCourt's way.
"To be fair to the player he knew that we needed to get a deal which was good for Derry City Football Club," said McDaid.
"Now that everything is agreed with West Brom, myself and everyone at the club would like to wish Paddy well and we hope he does well for himself."
