PADDY McCourt's proposed move to Premiership new boys West Bromich Albion may have hit a last minute snag.
Tony Mowbray's out-fit, who have already agreed a £150,000 deal with Derry City, may now have competition in the shape of Championship club Norwich City.
It's believed Glenn Roeder's side are negotiating with the Candystripes and are expected to match The Baggies offer.
In fact just last season, Norwich are thought to have agreed a deal for the 24-year-old whenever John Robertson was at the helm, however the then Norwich boss Peter Grant was given the boot by the East Anglian men and the move fell through.
However it's understood that The Canaries are now back in for the talented winger and although the lure of playing at Anfield, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge or even the Emirates Stadium, where incidentally the Albion begin their Premier Division campaign in August, might not be enough for McCourt.
Although it was thought McCourt was to travel to England later this week to have a medical at the Hawthorns, he may now instead jet into Carrow Road.
