INSTITUTE manager John Gregg wants to end the season on a winning note when Lisburn Distillery visit Drumahoe, this Saturday (KO 3pm).
After such a rollercoaster like season, Gregg just expects his players to give him their all again this weekend and he strongly believes if they do, then those priceless three points will be theirs.
"I know the players have given me everything since
I have become manager, but I'm asking them to give me one more big last push this week both at training and on Saturday when we take on Lisburn Distillery, in fairness to them I know they won't take their foot of the gas," said Gregg.
"We know it's going to be a tough game against Distillery because they are a good big physical side but with the match being at home and with it being the last game of the season I'm expecting a big crowd, which hopefully will inspire us.
"It would be nice to finish the campaign off on a winning note and although it's the final game of the season, a victory would set us up nicely for next year.
"A win might also get us above Larne, which would mean we would finish in 13th place and that's what we'll be looking to do."
Both sides met earlier in the season at New Grosvenor but had to settle for a point each following a battling scoreless draw and because of that result the Institute gaffer feels his players have not to fear.
"To be honest like a lot of games this season we had enough chances to possible nick the points that day, but it's going to be a different ball game this Saturday. Distillery have finished the season in fifth place and that's exceptionally because I didn't think they would finish there but we'll be approaching the game in a positive mood."
On the plus side Declan Divin should return to the squad, while centre-back Mark Scoltock may also make it.
The big defender who has been out of action for the last few months with ankle ligament damage, has been doing really well in training and Gregg may risk in the final game of the season.
"To be honest Mark has surprised me because I thought he was out for the season, but he has been super at training and he has come on leaps and bounds. Hopefully I can arrange a Reserve game tonight (Wednesday) and see if he can get 90 minutes under his belt, if does then he'll certainly come into my thinking for Saturday.
"As for Decky he had the flu last week and was also allowed to attend a wedding on Saturday, which was agreed by the previous manager, so I'm hoping he'll be fine."
